Hello! We're running cfmx on linux and some strange problems are occuring from time to time:
After minutes, sometimes after hours, coldfusion occupies too much memory and is restarted by the linux kernel: "May 31 12:28:06 www kernel: Out of Memory: Killed process 6814 (cfusion)." The problems also occur if no load is on the machine. The equipment/settings: - debian woody stable - apache 1.3.26 - jvm: j2re1.4.1_02 (sun) - RAM: 512 MB - initial memory size: 400; maximum memory size: 400 - limit simultaneous requests to: 20 - timeout requests after: 240 seconds - client variables are stored in a mysql database Steps already taken: - installed updater #3 - compiled own connector with sources (in order to get rid of the EAPI error on apache startup) - edited maxhandler/activehandler settings as recommened in the linux tech note - check for long running requests: nothing special found - installed the forced garbage collection tag http://groups.google.com/groups?q=CFX_GC&hl=de&lr=&ie=UTF- 8&selm=3D09904C.5060901%40student.utwente.nl&rnum=1 - What further investigations do you recommend? - Are there any further recommended JVM settings?
