Well, first, I'd recommend that you use Windows 2000 Server for your servers (development and production) instead. I've installed CFMX on many, many Win2K machines without any problems. Second, there may be something odd about your machine's specific configuration (hardware or software). I know that it's a real problem, since I tried to fix it myself (and failed), but I've got to be honest - I've never had that much trouble with any CFMX install but yours! Third, if you want to give me another chance to try installing it remotely, I'm game. I'd prefer to try on a machine that hasn't had it installed already, but if that's not an option, that's ok.
