In exchange for the exclusive right to own and resell, and deny my right to do same, my stock answer is to tell the customer to ''add a zero'' to whatever I've already quoted them. i.e. multiply the price by 10. Thats assuming the conversation would be appropriate in the first place, as sometimes you do work for others where this is never even something to think about. I don't think there is any set formula for this. Just what you think its worth to deny yourself future revenue from the code and hand that same right over to someone else... and of course, there's the ''what-can-i-get-away-with-and-not-scare-off-this-live-fish'' factor. ------------------------------------------- Matt Robertson, [EMAIL PROTECTED] MSB Designs, Inc. http://mysecretbase.com ------------------------------------------- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=4 FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Your ad could be here.
