You know, I bought the reality MX flash integration book, the OOP with ActionScript and the Flash MX ActionScript Bible. I ended up using the OOP Book to learn "real" programming with MX and the ActionScriptBible as a Reference. I started into the Reality MX book, but found it to be more of an overhead view instead of a nuts and bolts.
I vote for the OOP for learning how to really do it, and then pick up the Bible books to use as a good reference. I helped to develop one of the largest FlashMX/CF apps out there (for the Gov.) and the OOP book effected our coding more than any other. It is a must have for anyone who seriously wants to learn to program in AS, but it doesn't go into a lot of CF detail. The CF books will give you that. I found that I buy lot of books when I start to learn something new, but nothing really helps but diving in and doing it. I think a better resource than any of the books is macromedia's site with all the tutorials and articles and sample apps.
