Do you by chance use windows authentication on the SQL Server DBs? I
just upgraded to MX and none of the datasources copied over. The
datasources validate OK through windows, but throw a big honkin error in
CFAdmin. Once I installed Updater 3 some of them worked at least
briefly, but I had to delete the datasource and restart CF before
recreating the datasource again through CFAdmin. MX is pretty sketchy
installing. I can't believe the CF Administrator doesn't handle the
datasource validation errors better also. When trying to validate or
edit one of the bad datasources it hangs the server for about 5 minutes
before throwing a CF error. But bottom line I would make sure you have
updater3 and then delete, restart CF, and then recreate the datasource.
If that doesn't work let us know.

Subject: CFMX datasource question

I just installed CFMX on my development machine.

It's co-installed with 5.0.

I imported my 5.0 settings, including datasources, but on all my
datasources, I'm getting this error:

Connection verification failed for data source: encore
[]java.sql.SQLException: SQLException occurred in JDBCPool while
attempting to connect, please check your username, password, URL, and
other connectivity info. The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException:
SQLException occurred in JDBCPool while attempting to connect, please
check your username, password, URL, and other connectivity info.

Connectivity info seems to be fine.

What might the problem be? (connecting to MSSQL 2000)

H.
