There is nothing recorded in either the scheduler. log or the application.
log file for the task in question.  

Found the problem.  Schedule Tasks can not run, if the template is protected
in IS with anything higher the basic authentication.  We had recently
started using authentication to allow customization of our intranet web site
content based on who is logged into the client computer.

The solution should be to simply turn off the authentication on the template
for the task.

Yes, we can run the task manually and it works just fine, no errors.

Should have said in the first message.

Can you run the event from the browser outside of CFADMIN?

If so, check for errors... That is one common issue.

Any hints on where I should be looking for trouble on this?  We have a
scheduled tast that is supposed to run each night.  I worked for a
period of
time and then stopped.  No noticeable errors in the log files, all the
settings *look* fine.  But, it is no longer running each night?
