Here is what I do:
function subscribe(){
var send2cf = new Object();
send2cf.firstname = firstName_txt.text;
send2cf.lastname = lastName_txt.text;
send2cf.emailAddr = emailAddr_txt.text;
send2cf.verifyEmail = verifyEmail_txt.text;
subscribeService.dataerrors(send2cf);
}
then in CF you just reference the values as #flash.firstName# and so on..
