There are lots of possibilities here. There are a couple of things you might
check.
1. Do the primary and secondary DNS servers in the InterNIC domain listing
have the right information?
You can find this out by reading the full InterNIC domain listing, available
from
http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois
Then, use NSLOOKUP to query each of those servers directly and find out
whether or not they have the right info, and whether they list themselves as
authoritative for the domain.
2. Is the DNS server you're using from your client querying the
authoritative DNS, or is it using cached (and incorrect) information? You'll
have to answer question one first.
Alternatively, if you'd like me or someone else on the list to help diagnose
the problem, let us know the domain, and the IP addresses and their
corresponding hosts.
