In this directory of a standalone CFMX install:

$CFMX_ROOT/runtime/servers/default/SERVER-INF/temp/wwwroot-tmp

there are a bunch of files named 'neotmpNNNNN.tmp' where 'N' is an iteger.
They range in size from empty up to 50MB. My partition is getting full,
anyone know if I can delete them? or at least some of the older ones. They
seem to appear only on occasional days, but when they do, there are usually
multiple files on that same day.

If I had to wager a guess, I'd say for temporary file uploads, but I don't
want to remove them until I know for sure.

TIA,
barneyb
