Data Source Name Some DSN
Description Whatever
Provider SQLOLEDB
Server \\yourserver\pipe\sql\query (or IP address - depends which
net
lib you use)
Default Database YourDBName
ColdFusion Login
Username <Database username>
Password <Database password>
And that should be all you need.
Make sure your db user is set up correctly. Best to test the connection
using sa first just to make sure you can connect then create a user
specifically for that db.
