Basically, you've nailed the issue right on the head (in both cases). I am
quite attached to the list ever since it was handed over to me a few years
back (4?). I don't want to do the corporate route because I feel this should
be an open, community driven list with no ads or limitations. Additionally,
your address is NEVER given to others or used in any way other than for this
list. The same can not be said in either case for egroups, onlist, etc. As
for community support, we (the FA editorial staff) have been discussing both
a location for donations as well as a compiled digest version to make it
easier to look through the weeks mail and get to the content you want.
The point is, I am working on keeping things going fast and upgrading
services. I'm hoping that those who were effected by the slowdown (which was
only about 1/3 of the list) will understand and be patient with me.
