Please help!

I emailed the list a couple of weeks ago about this and got some good
responses. Thanks to those who replied. The problem was that when making an
RDS connection through Studio my floppy drive would fire up. Without doing
any detailed diagnostics, I slipped a floppy disk in there and all as well.
I figured it just needed to see something in there.
Well I've got the problem at home but much worse. Doing an RDS connection in
Studio causes both the floppy to fire up and the hard drive to go into
spasms. I stuck a floppy in the floppy drive but the drive light is still on
and my hard drive is firing up every 1 to 2 seconds like a chaffcutter. I
can still see databases and their tables etc but as soon as I try to specify
a directory it says that it can't find the specified directory or path. I've
crawled over the server, mappings are correct, ODBC connections are correct
and I can't find any reference to these drives in the server settings. I've
crawled over the manual, even uninstalled and reinstalled software, I've
crawled over Allaire's support forums and knowledge database. There are
references to RDS problems in 4.5 back in 1/2000 and a hot fix was provided,
but no reference to RDS dramas in 4.5a. I've had no luck!
I'm using V4.5a, Win 98 and O'Reilley's WebSite 1.1h. For non RDS stuff
everything works OK.
Can anyone shed any light on this matter please.
