Offhand your situation sounds over the edge. I seldom climb over 250 mb on a box hosting about 3 dozen sites. But again this is all 100% dependent on what it is you are up to, and how you are going about it. And I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but if moving to cfc's 'caused' the problem, I'd look to the code and not the server.
