Hey all.. I'm pretty new to the whole XML thing. Looking to consume a feed and put some headlines on our Intranet.
I'm still on CF 5, so I'm using the cf_soxml tag to parse the feed. Unfortunately, Site Objects doesn't support the tag any more...and I've run into a bit of a wall. We're behind a proxy server. I believe I'm going to need to specify the IP and port in order to get out. In fact, I saved the file locally just to see if the soxml would work. It did...when I removed the following line from the XML content: <!DOCTYPE rss PUBLIC "-//Netscape Communications//DTD RSS 0.91//EN" "http://www.computerworld.com/rss/cw_rss.dtd";> ...which illustrates that the issue is getting out to an external source.
