Very true.

Our skills reside in the Flash/Flashcomm/CF/J2EE areas. Perhaps a
customized route is the only option for the time being. :\

Thanks for the tip on the MS stuff, will take a gander...

Agreed here. However, the quest for this type of offering has been a
road to bankruptcy for many.

I believe there is definatly a need for this technology. My company is
simlar to yours (several offices, people on client sites, and less than
200 people) -- needing a system to communicate new technology and ideas
to people all over the place.

If were in your shoes and wanted to propose a system as a pilot, I'd
take a long look at Powerpoint Brodcasting (streaming Powerpoint and
playing it in Windows Media). Of course there are lots of caveats with
this solution, but this could get your company's feet wet to understand
this technology. On the plus side, using Powerpoint Broadcasting will
not cost 90K to produce a Webinar or an company meeting.

Have you tried WebX or Genesis? These two products offer slides over a
telephone bridge for pretty resonable rates. On the minus side, neither
offer on-demand versions.
