it would help to see the query too....

on the other hand, if you do have more than 1 row being returned, you
setting the customerid equal to the cid in the first row of the query.

Subject: cannot convert

Hello,

I get an error message when I try to setup a counter.

Here is the code:
<CFIF getcustomerid.recordcount EQ 0>
<CFSET Customerid=100>
<CFELSE>
<CFSET customerid = getcustomerid.cid + 1>
</CFIF>

The error reads:
"An error occurred while evaluating the expression:
customerid = getcustomerid.cid + 1
Error near line 8, column 7.<HR><P>Cannot convert to number..."

Thanks for the help as always.
