I'm having some difficulty deciding on the best approach for organizing and dealing with multiple languages in planning a new site.
I can't decide which method is best; storing stuff in DB pulling with queries, storing in XML and calling with custom tags, perhaps UDF, or maybe components.. And what about locales.. And the easiest to manage long term, eg quickly translating everything to several other languages later on. I've messed around with numerous different combinations the past few days, but none seem to jump out as obvious approach. What are people's experiences and recommendations on this subject?
