Hi

I am currently in the process of tweaking our servers to gain some
performance without adding more hardware.
I would really appreciate any pointers on how to setup cf so that it runs
as smoothly as possible.

A little about my setup:

3 * Web servers:
Dell Poweredge 2400 (2 * 667 Mhz CPU, 512 RAM)
WIN2K Server, CF 4.51 Enterprise, IIS 5

1 * SQL Server:
Compag Proliant 5500 (4 * 550 Mhz CPU, 2048 RAM)
WIN NT 4 Server, MS SQL Server 7.0

We have appx. 50.000 unique user session every day at our web site
(<http://www.toga.se/language.cfm?country=1>) which is pretty database
intensive (it's an online department store). We often peak at appx. 1.000
simultanious users (according to perfmon).

We use nothing but stored procedures with OLE DB. All cf code is pretty
well written and we are currently rewriting the portions we're not 100%
satisfied with.
We are currently using session variables, but plan to switch to client
management (easier when clustering).
Pretty much all heavy logic resides in custom tags or com objects.

Any pointers on how to setup cf through cf admin? Any other tweaks perhaps?
Regedit?

Is Cluster Cats any good or should we go with a hard ware based solution
(we're currently using dns-round robin while testing load balancing
solutions)?.

I know this is like asking "how long is a rope?", but I really would like
to know anything you might have found out regarding cf-performance to see
if we've missed something.

Thanks!!

//Nille
