I think it's great that MM offers free installation support, the problem is that a lot
of folks run into issues right AFTER installation. <grin> The MM definitions are:

<SNIP>
Installation
Macromedia defines installation as the process in which the product installation
program is extracted from a CD, diskette, downloaded executable, or network drive onto
a single computer's hard drive, and the setup programs is run to completion in
accordance with the authorized installation instructions. A completed installation is
determined by the successful first run of the Macromedia application.
</SNIP>

AND

<SNIP>
ColdFusion Server and ColdFusion Express
Unable to successfully run the 'Test your ColdFusion Installation' utility (ColdFusion
5 and older only)
Unable to launch the ColdFusion Administrator page.
</SNIP>

So, in many peoples' cases (ie, datasources not working) the free installation does
not apply. The MM forums and this mailing list work well for general stuff. I'm
impressed with the fact that MM employees are active in both the forums and in most
mailing lists.

Hopefully Christine and I will be able to figure out this CFUPDATE issue with
passworded MS ACCESS datasources that is plaguing a lot of folks (me included)
