(CFTalk seems backed up today, so sorry if this is redundant b/c others have already
responded)

Before CFMX 6.1, ColdFusion did not support RedHat Linux 7.3, 8, or 9. Now, CFMX 6.1
does support those OS versions, but the version of Verity in CFMX does not support
those OS's. Hence, CFMX 6.1 does not support Verity on: RedHat 7.3, 8, 9; Suse 7.3,
8.x; or TurboLinux 8.

You may want to consider indexing options such as Lucene. The July 2003 CFDJ has an
article on using Lucene with CF, by Aaron Johnson of Mindseye.

Subject: CFMX 6.1 and Verity on Linux

I was reading through the release notes of CFMX 6.1 and came across this Known issue:
"50943 - Verity cannot index documents on RedHat Linux versions 7.3 and later." Does
this mean that CFMX 6.1 / Verity will not work on Linux?

Apologies for the cross posting but this could prevent us from upgrading to 6.1.

Thanks!
