ViewletBuilder used to be cool, always overpriced, but I have since
discovered a tool that blows it away, and is less expensive. Check out
Camtasia Studio, at http://www.techsmith.com. Also takes about a 3rd of the
time to create a presentation. It is a screen recorder, similar to the old
Lotus ScreenCam, but a whole lot more. Works the same way, records a screen
sessions video and audio and captures it to an AVI file. But then, you can
export it to a flash file for streaming from a site, or you can load it to a
CD a use the menu builder to have a menu pop-up when they insert the CD.
Many more options to it. I have used it to also record web based
presentations that other companies have given me. A great resource to go
back to and refresh yourself. Or how about the case where a client and you
are discussing by phone some changes they want made to an existing site.
Helps you to be real thorough.

Subject: WOT: Demoing software

Has anyone here used any kind of demoing software to demonstrate your apps
to clients??

I am looking to demo some of my software on distributable CD that would walk
clients through my coldfusion apps. That way they need no connection to the
internet, no having to have CF server running and no web browers.. They just
pop a cd in the drive and the demo starts running..

Looking for any help.. Thanks...

Jeff
