I have a particular server running CFMX Updater3 on Windows 2000 that for some
reason or another, does not want to recompile it's CFML files into the WEB-
INF/cfclasses directory.

Does anyone know what the internals of CFMX does to determine whether a CFML
file needs to be recompiled?

I thought it was on a file change, or a restart of CFMX, but niether of those
actions triggered a recompile. However, when I manually went into the WEB-
INF/cfclasses folder, deleted all the class files, then restarted the CFMX
services, vuala! a recompile was triggered!

What caused this to occur? Any ideas? What can I do to make sure that this
doesn't happen again? ( Short of writing a cron job to delete the classes and
restart the CFMX services each night. )

Is this a known issue or just a bug that surfaces every once in a while?

( I have seen others with this issue throughout the threads of this list, but
there has never been a real solution or verdict as to why this happens... )

Any comments/ideas are gladly appreciated!

Thanks,

Josh
