Create a datasource for storing the client vars. The Database should have
zero tables. Then in the client management section of the administrator,
add a new storage repository, selecting the datasource. Make sure to select
the 'create tables' option. AFter submitting, select it on the list of
available repositories and hit the submit button. That's it.

You'll lose all current client variables when you make the switch, so make
sure you do it at an appropriate time. However, depending on what you're
storing there, that might be no big deal.
