Yup, just did it again, added a piece of text to the localhost/index.cfm
file and then stopped and started all ColdFusion services. Nothing changed.
I've even complete rebooted my box three times this morning. But, when I
browse to localhost/index.cfm I get a file that does not exist anymore. If
I go to any other files in the directory, such as localhost/areas.cfm they
serve up just fine, but the links to home on them bring up the incorrect,
old, ghost file.

What I've done this morning... I finally uninstalled my old CF 4.5 that had
been running unnecessarily for quite some time now. It has been many moons
since I've done a 4.5 project. I then ran the MX IIS connector so that it
would be in charge if the c://inetpub/wwwroot (http://localhost/) directory
instead of just C:\CFusionMX\wwwroot (http://localhost:8500). That's when I
created the test page that won't die. I then downloaded my current project
from our hosting company. Now I can't get it to serve up the correct
index.cfm file.

I then downloaded and installed 6.1, been wanting to do that anyway. Didn't
solve my problem though. On the plus side, I had no other troubles
installing 6.1, yeah.
