Massimo, I didn't say it 'would' resolve it, I said I 'believe'.
I also never said it would resolve all of the Code Trust issues. However, there is nothing wrong with resolving Code Trust issues as you can if you want. Have you actually tested removing the Translators and Behaviors, and then attempted to recreate some of these issues? If it is indeed the Translator, Translators can be done the same way, Create a Translators/ColdFusionOld and move the contents of Translators/ColdFusion to the new folder. And removing the Server Behaviours appears to remove some code rewriting. Another benefit of doing this is DWMX performance. Nothing is misleading when somebody suggests something may help. What would be misleading would be an absolute. I'm just offering a suggestion, not writing a book. - Calvin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Massimo Foti" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Talk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, August 27, 2003 4:26 AM Subject: Re: Dreamweaver MX adding random code > > Code Trust. > > By removing Server Behaviours you aren't going to solve the Code Trust > issues at all. > > First of all, the bug reported by Bryan is clearly related to Translators, > not Server Behaviours then, even if you manage to get rid of all the > Translators, there are still circunstances where DW will screw up your code > anyway. > > > > Sure, you lose the functionality of existing Server Behaviours, but it's a > > trade off on what is important, if indeed Code Trust is more important > than > > being able to click your way to a repeated region (cfloop) and be able to > > view it in Design View. > > See above, you aren't going to solve the specific issue and, more in > general, all the bugs related to Code Trust. > > I hate to sound rude, but I am seeing more and more misleading statements > circulating about how to avoid similar problems in DW, like people believing > that only use Code View will keep them safe (not at all!). > > ---------------------------- > Massimo Foti > Certified Dreamweaver MX Developer > Certified Advanced ColdFusion MX Developer > http://www.massimocorner.com/ > ---------------------------- > > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm?link=t:4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm?link=s:4 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4 Signup for the Fusion Authority news alert and keep up with the latest news in ColdFusion and related topics. http://www.fusionauthority.com/signup.cfm
