I came across your discussion group on CF_ADVISOR. My organization is looking to migrate from Oracle 9iAS to ColdFusion Web App server. We plan to install CFMX server and Sybase on SUN platform. I need help with following questions: 1. In order to use clustering feature of CFMX6.1 EE on SUN, is it a must to have SUN clustering? 2. With CFMX6.1 Clustering, do I get automatic failover + load balancing? Have you implemented it and do you know if it is reliable? 3. FuseBox methodology along with ColdFusion Studio &/or MX2004 Professional, are there any tools that I can use to accelerate development? 4. Have you used SUN web server with CFMX? How well do they work/don't work together? 5. Should CFMX6.1 be considered an application server? I would appreciate if you can send me some diagrams if you have that may help in getting a better understanding of CF/Sybase architecture or point me to a location/source where I can find one. Thanks for your help.
