This article http://www.allaire.com/Handlers/index.cfm?ID=13519&Method=Full
gives the basic info on getting CF to work with files on another machine. I
know it says Netware, but the principles are the same for NT or
(theoretically) Samba.

Subject: Newbie with questions on CF + Samba

Hi everyone,

My name is Tage Widsell and I'm new on the list. I'm teh webmaster/web
developer for Propellerhead Software, a Swedish company that makes music
software titles such as ReBirth and ReCycle.

We are using ColdFusion to host an ever growing song archive for our vewry
active user community. I'm about to update the ColdFusion services and have
run into a problem. I want to access files on our ftp server (Linux) from
our ColdFusion machine (NT) so we have installed Samba on the Linux machine,
but I can't get CF to see the mapped network drives. I know that the Samba
installation works, since we are using it for transfering log files etc, but
I can't get it to work with ColdFusion.

Does anyone have a clue why this isn't working and maybe a solution too?

Regards
Tage Widsell
