the total population of the web <10% education ~40% at University of Virginia last I had stats Darden Business school @ University of Virginia 0% (ok, I have one developer friend who brings in his powerbook...) the last graphic design firm I worked with 100% my company, currently 0% the OReilly Open Source Convention ~50% speakers at the last All-Stuff, No-Fluff java weekend I attended ~ 50% the last two numbers are the interesting ones IMHO -- used to be graphic designers used Mac, developers used PC (maybe with Linux on it, but probably Windows). Most of the Java developers I know are moving to Mac. I'd head there myself if I didn't spend 50-60% in MS-SQL developer world with local database servers (and I'm not real interested in running VirtualPC for that) More interesting to me is of the Macintosh OS X users, how many are using Safari vs using MSIE or Mozilla.
