This is a lazy man's question. I think you're confusing what they are. Flash is the development tool - it's where you build all Flash content (although there are now third party tools as well). Flash remoting is strictly a server-side extension allowing your application server (ColdFusion in our case) to communicate VERY easily with Flash movies. So while you still need Flash to build the content Flash remoting allows you to easily integrate that content with your web application.
