It was getting set successfuly using the CALLER scope from within the tag. IIRC fusebox places url and form vars in the attributes scope However the attributes scope is not visible from a further nested custom tag and needs to be either passed in or placed in the request scope to be visible to the custom tag. Also if this worked correctly under CF6 then I would check the redsky documentation for any changes which may effect your custom tag.
