No. There are plenty of other database servers that will, of course. For
development purposes, running SQL Server in Virtual PC may well work out for
you, though.
My big hangups about switching to the Mac have been Exchange integration and
Pocket PC integration. The next release of OS X is supposed to address the
first one of those, so I might try it out.
