Is a Datasource really setup?

Is there some code that I can run to check the existance of datasource.  My code reporting that the tables in database does not exist. My host ISP says that the Datasource has been registered with CF.  This is a new setup and I just don't think the datasource was setup correctly.  Is there any code that I can run to test it
