Done a bit of digging but not getting anywhere..... the main problem is
in validating our dynamic pages....
What we need to do at the moment is have to either validate them on
production (not keen on this) or save a copy of the HTML/CSS and then
visit all the validators with the said copy of page.
This is just very time consuming and I would like to add a standard
validation toolbar to the bottom of all pages on our Dev server that
would allow validation at a click of a button. From what I see, this
would be easy if the pages were public, but they are not, they are
behind a firewall, using a proxy server and also are secured using
home-grown User Authentication. The chances of using the online W3C
HTML/CSS Validator (and others like Bobby and 508) service is pretty
minimal.
Would anybody else like to comment on how they overcame this problem?
Or are there any web service validator services out there? Or should I
just resort to cfsavecontent of the dynamic page then cfhttp to the
online validator?
Cheers
David
