I cannot use the cfldap tag to query the active directory because I would have to pass in the username to get the details for that user. To give you a background, I'm developing this site for the intranet, the users windows/computer account details are stored in the Active Directory. When the user logs in to his machine and enters his user name, AD does the authroisation. Now when he opens the link to the intranet site I want to get his details from somewhere and ADSystemInfo component does this for you (read this microsoft article: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=""> To use this component in ColdFusion its not that simple as I thought it would be, people have suggested using a wrapper class and I don't know how to code it unless somebody shows me the code.
