iAuth uses Cold Fusion (among other things) to provide the authentication via
a DLL.

You need a DLL to talk to the IIS security/access layer, so unless you want to
write your own DLL, and if you want the flexibility of Cold Fusion - iAuth is
an excellent solution.

Why don't you download the demo and try it for yourself?
