This is what u should do.  On that event calendar page, write a _javascript_ to do something to the window with the links in them.  THat something is, setting a value to a hidden field in the window with the link.  Then, for the links themselves, tell them to only work if the hidden field is TRUE or FALSE or whatever u set it to.

This should work fine! :-D
