I wanted to get some idea of what everyone uses to layout an application prior to building it. I'm trying to improve my skills and this is probably the biggest hurdle for me now--how to plan everything out beforehand rather than just jumping in and coding until I get myself into a corner that could've been avoided with better pre-planning. So, anyone have any advice, commentary, tools, books, web sites, general resources to point me in the right direction?
