You can also CFEXECUTE perl scripts... or at least the perl executable
and pass it the perl script as an argument.
I've used both CFEXECUTE and CFHTTP in the past... we use a CFHTTP call
to a perl script to authenticate against our mainframe because the JDBC
driver doesn't return reasonable SQLSTATE error messages if the
authentication fails, while the Perl script can tell me "User Revoked"
"Username Invalid" "Password Expired" "Invalid Password" etc... makes it
much easier on our idiot users who can't seem to type in their mainframe
user ID even though we specifically ASK for it that way ;)
