Animated Gifs on the fly

Does anyone here know of a program, CFX, object, etc. that will allow for
the creation of animated Gifs on the fly? I know CFX_Image will not do it
while Fireworks will using its undocumented JSAPI. Anything else that can be
called using CFOBJECT or CFEXECUTE?
