We were running into the same problem.  Especially happened when we used
cfx_spawnexec and there was an error.  The thread that was spawned never
closed and it seemed to very rapidly consume memory.  Limit the number of
simultaneous requests to 2 - 3 per server of your box.  This solved our
memory issues.
