You just have to "administer" IIS a little. Add ".cfm" to the list of
documents in the default website properties. And be sure your Home
Directory "local path" is pointing where you want it. Then you should
see your "sites" listed under the "Default Website" in IIS.

Subject: Re: XP pro and MX 6.1

Id like to keep IIS and not be limited to one IP with MX's server if at
all possible. Being a contract developer, I show alot of work across the
internet. This way I can just plug it up to my network and send a link
without restting the one external IP address.

Uninstalling IIS and reinstalling MX as a standalone server is a last
resort but I may end up doing that for the time being if I can't get
this solved today. Any other suggestions you (or anyone) might have
would be great!

Thanks

  heres what i did
  1) uninstall IIS and NEVER reinstall it!
  2) uninstall & reinstall cfmx as a standalone server

and just like magic, u take away the M$ and it works great!
and u can feel good cause your laptop is now quite a bit more secure;)
