XP Home Edition - ODBC

On my notebook, it has XP Home Edition on it ...  I tried to setup the CFMX 6.1 and everything seems great, but when I try to add an ODBC datasource, it gacks and says:

The ColdFusion MX ODBC Server service is not running or has not been installed.

Is this a XP HOME EDITION problem?  Or does anyone know a fix around this?

I really don't want to upgrade to Professional, but I will if I have to.
