You don't need to stop/start no and you can make changes in either admin
tools or cfadmin, however cfadmin will expose more options for a particular
DSN

Subject: ODBC change = stop and start CF services?

I hope this is a simple question.  I am running CF 5 on a Win2K server.  If
I make a change to the ODBC datasources through the Windows Admin Tools, do
I need to stop and start the ColdFusion services for the changes to take
effect?  Do I need to make any changes in the ODBC settings in the CF
Administrator?  The datasources are SQLServer and MySQL.  Is there a general
rule of thumb about this?

Thanks,

Jeff Horne
