I'm not sure about this, but something to look into.....
OpenOffice (www.openoffice.org) allows you to create/open word documents
and also allows you to save documents as PDF.
There is an API for OpenOffice. Possibly you could use that API to pick
up and convert your word documents. Again you will have to install
OpenOffice, if the API allows you to do this, but at least its a free
Open Source application. No M$ licensing to deal with.
