Upgrading ovewrites your current installation.  If you are testing for
compatibility issues you do have the option of installing as a co-exist
server which will run side by side with CF5 but on a different port (8500).
There are no rollback options in the installer - you would have to do it all
manually.

MX is installed into a different folder so rolling back should not be a big
deal providing you have kept your original CFusion folder.  You will have to
add your ISCF.dll mapping back to IIS (if on Windows).

Subject: upgrading to Coldfusion MX

Hello,

I am upgrading from Coldfusion 5 to Coldfusion MX 6.1

are there any known issues in doing so?

what happens to 5 once 6.1 is installed, is it going to overwrite it?

If so, are there any rollback issues if we do experience problems?

Thanks in advance,

Dave
