Well, a little background on this problem. The query you see is a small part of a larger query, where the "where" clause is determined by selected criteria from the page that generates the query. I have four multi-select boxes on that first page, two of which have integer values, and two of which have string values. That's why I'm using an "IN" in the where clause, to search the comma delimited strings. It works fine with the strings of integers, but not the strings of strings. (I've made sure that each component of the string is enclosed in single quotes.) And the query also works perfectly when the multi-select boxes aren't involved in it, which makes me think that the "IN" operator is to blame. I haven't tried to run it from within Access, but I'll do that once I get to work in the morning. Thanks for the suggestions - any more ideas, now that I've given more of an explanation? Thanks!
