have another web server installed (IIS maybe)? If so, configure CF to use
that and you'll not be using port 8500. You can also change the port that
the integrated http server is on (so long as no other server is running on
port 80). See http://www.forta.com/blog/index.cfm?mode=e
<http://www.forta.com/blog/index.cfm?mode=e&entry=678> &entry=678 for how to
change the default port.

Subject: *sigh* what am I doing wrong again? It's been AGES since I've set
this up...
I'm in Dreamweaver. I've JUST set up a brand new computer, and I haven't set
this stuff up in ages. My CF Administrator is at
http://127.0.0.1:8500/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm. I don't want that. I
want it to be http://localhost/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm. The first site
I set up in Dreamweaver set up fine, but when I opened the FIRST page, and
hit F-12, it asked me if I wanted to download the file, instead of view it.
It's been AGES since I've run into all this stuff, and I'm just looking to
get it setup quickly so I can browse everything at http://localhost/*site*.
Where do I need to look? While I wait for the inevitable answer, I'm poking
around the CF Administrator...hoping to stumble across the answer. Help
appreciated in advance.
