Subject: DSN Creation on the Fly?
Is there a way to create a DSN without going through ColdFusion
Adminstrator? I have an application which updates our site database from a
database file that is uploaded daily to our server. Problem is, sometimes
the database is locked so the file transfer won�t complete. In this case I
have to rename the database, recreate the DSN and then run the update
application. The upload and update functions are scheduled to run nightly,
so in theory I shouldn�t have even worry about it.
Is there a way to dynamically create or delete a DSN? Or is there a better
way of performing this task than what I have in place?
