Form Fields Disappearing

Has anyone experienced the problem with form fields from the previous page disappearing on the processing page in a post action?  Every now and then, our users get an error when they are submitting a form and it was because all the form fields had disappeared.

We know this because we have top-level error handler, which shoots us an email with all the diagnostic information such as url and form variables, all the cgi variables, and everything in the catch and error structs.  

I am baffled by this.  I couldn't duplicate this error at all.  Could be it a bug in CF5?
