I've got an identical-sounding error on my home dev box. Same error
message. It used to work just fine. It didn't die until well after my
6.1 upgrade... I *think*.
Two dsn's continue to function perfectly. One is my client var storage
db and the other is a timed app that executes every five minutes. All
of the rest of the mySQL dsn's are dead as you describe, with the same
error message.
The only thing I can think of is that the working datasources' frequent
use has something to do with their failure to... well, fail.
I can do a cold reboot and no change. I can delete the dead dsn and
rebuild it, making sure I have the pwds and such correct. No change. I
can confirm the dead dsn is working within mySQL directly via
mySQLFront.
And the kicker: I can open the dead dsn in CF Studio's datasource tree
and it sees the tables just fine, and reports the fields. But if I
double-click on the table, instead of a view of the data I get a blank
screen with no error.
I'm running 6.1 developer, Apache, Win2k on an old Celeron.
